About Schwelm Anlagentechnik GmbH
Schwelm Anlagentechnik GmbH (SAT) is a plant engineering company based in Schwelm and, as an engineering firm and manufacturer, produces industrial plants for gases and solids/liquids. The production programme includes biogas upgrading plants based on the principle of physical pressure scrubbing (polyglycol scrubbing) with plant sizes from 150 to 1,400 mN³/h product gas, biomethane feed-in plants including gas pressure regulation and odorisation, PSA drying plants with molecular sieve, compressor and pressure boosting plants with final pressures up to 350 bar (optionally 550 bar or higher), gas mixing plants as well as natural gas, LPG and hydrogen refuelling stations with compressor stations and gas dispensers. In the solids/liquids sector, tank farms for chemicals, aerosols, LPG and CO2, loading stations as well as dosing and mixing plants for the chemical and petrochemical industries are built. The services range from project planning, basic and detail engineering, design, construction, installation and commissioning to service, maintenance, recurring inspections in accordance with BetrSichV and expert training courses. Plants are assembled, installed and piped at the Schwelm plant by long-qualified personnel using components from renowned manufacturers. Having emerged from Schwelm Anlagenbau GmbH, the company continues the tradition of the Schwelmer Eisenwerk founded in 1886.

Processes and Media
Biogas upgrading by physical pressure scrubbing (polyglycol scrubbing)
Upgrading of raw biogas to biomethane grid feed-in quality in accordance with DVGW G260 with up to 98 vol.-% methane and electrical consumption below 0.2 kWh/mN³ raw gas.
PSA drying with molecular sieve
Fully automatic regenerating adsorption drying of biogas and biomethane to the desired dew point.
Pressure boosting and compressor plants
Compact plants in sheet steel containers for final pressures up to 350 bar, optionally 550 bar or higher, with delivery capacities of 0 to 500 mN³/h.
Gas mixing and gas treatment technology
Molecule-precise setting of gas qualities, among others via gas scrubbing, membrane technology, cooling/precipitation and production of nitrogen or oxygen.
Liquefied gas and tank farm technology
Tank farms with LPG pressure vessels up to 450 m³ as well as vaporiser, regulation and unloading stations.
