About SCIO Automation Production Solutions
SCIO Automation Production Solutions is the business segment of the SCIO Automation Group with a presence in Germany, Austria and North America. The segment develops and manufactures special-purpose machines and high-precision systems for the alignment of components and assemblies in the micro- and sub-micrometer range, customized measurement and testing systems as well as calibration systems and machines. In addition, it offers Controls Technologies services: PLC and robotics programming, electrical engineering, control cabinet construction, installation and assembly, mistake proofing, AGV integration, retrofit and plant relocation as well as safety services for CE conformity in accordance with the Machinery Directive. The portfolio is complemented by AI-supported industrial image processing (vision systems), industrial software and MES, training via its own Academy, and digital spare parts and obsolescence management. Typical applications include alignment systems for PHB, BiLED and HD-SSL headlights, optical-tactile measurement and testing systems for precision metal parts of vane cell pumps, and testing systems for light guides and pump housings. The roots of the segment reach back, via several companies merged in 2019, to the year 1966.

Quality & Standards
Quality assurance is carried out, among other things, through automatic calibration of all measuring equipment used, an automatic MSA mode, statistical recording and visualization of all measurement data (including with LabVIEW) and real-time data transmission to the MES. Safety engineers accompany projects from the risk assessment to CE conformity in accordance with the Machinery Directive MRL 2006/42/EC.
