SCM Verlagsgruppe GmbH operates the SCM Shop, an online shop for Christian literature, music, films, calendars, sheet music and gift items. The company is part of the Stiftung Christlicher Medien and brings together the publishing houses SCM Bundes-Verlag, Hänssler, R. Brockhaus, Gerth Medien, adeo and BORN as well as the logistics service provider SCM Verlagsauslieferung. The SCM Shop was created in 2008 through the merger of the mail-order bookshops Hänssler-Versand and Bundes-Verlag Buchhandlung. Thanks to professional warehouse logistics, more than 30,000 items are ready for immediate dispatch; the range includes hardcover and paperback books, Bible editions, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, e-books, toys and food products. Customers come from private and church contexts in Germany and the German-speaking region. The company is headquartered in Holzgerlingen, with further publishing sites in Wetzlar and Witten.
