About SCREEN Holdings
SCREEN Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japanese manufacturer of production equipment founded in 1943, with its origins in the litho printing house Ishida Kyokuzan Printing founded in 1868 in Kyoto. The company develops and manufactures equipment for semiconductor production (in particular wafer cleaning systems), display and coating equipment, printed circuit board machinery, graphic arts devices as well as systems for ICT, life sciences and energy technology. Core competencies are interface control, which emerged from the etching technology of glass raster manufacturing, and image processing technology. In hydrogen technology, catalyst-coated membranes (CCM, PEXEM) are produced via high-speed roll-to-roll coating and catalyst ink formulation. The central site structure in Japan comprises Kyoto (headquarters and Rakusei plant), Kumiyama, Yasu, Hikone, Taga, Takaoka and Tokyo; in addition, there are development and service companies in North America, Europe and Asia. Consolidated revenue in fiscal year 2026/3 was 605.7 billion yen with 6,884 employees.
