About screenshot

screenshot is an owner-managed sole proprietorship in Berlin that has offered professional film digitization for more than 21 years. N8, Super8, 9.5mm Pathé, (S)16mm and 35mm films are scanned at all resolutions up to 6.4K (6464x4848) – for cinema and video productions, professional archiving and discerning private use. The services include careful preparation and cleaning of the film material, frame-by-frame digitization with modern scanning technology, digital post-production (restoration and color correction) and, on request, the complete workflow up to the finished Blu-Ray Disc, DVD, analogue or digital film copy including DCP/DCDM mastering. Films can be previewed in advance and, for interesting material, contacts to archives can be provided; spliced/broken-down footage is also processed. Customers include the German Federal Archives, film museums, state archives, film productions as well as artists and music groups. In 2023, an MWA Flashscan Nova scanner for 4K Super8 scans was commissioned.
