About Sea Machines Robotics

Sea Machines Robotics is a maritime autonomy technology company founded in Boston in 2015. It develops and manufactures autonomous command and control systems of the SM300 series (SM300-SP, SM300-NG) for ships and workboats from 10 to 300 feet in length, regardless of propulsion type (diesel, electric, jet, hybrid). The portfolio is complemented by unmanned surface vehicles (USV) SELKIE and STORMRUNNER, the 4K computer-vision system AI-ris, and software tools such as SMLINK APIs and FleetViewer. The systems are integrated as retrofits on existing vessels or for newbuilds; manufacturing takes place in the USA and Europe. The SM300 housing is made of stainless steel to IP67; for the USV hulls the company works with Tuco Marine (Denmark) on a carbon-fiber basis. Customers come from merchant shipping, defense, hydrographic surveying, oil spill response, dredging operations and offshore, including A.P. Moller-Maersk, the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Department of Transportation. More than 200 systems have been delivered worldwide; in addition to Boston, there are offices in Hamburg, Esbjerg and Gdańsk.
