About SECO
SECO S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of embedded electronics headquartered in Arezzo. The company develops and produces System-on-Modules (SOMs), single-board computers, modular HMIs and embedded PCs for industrial applications, up to Edge-AI systems with AI accelerators. Manufacturing takes place entirely in its own plants according to lean manufacturing principles: the SMT lines comprise screen printing, component placement (pick and place), reflow soldering and automatic optical inspection (AOI), followed by system integration and quality control. In addition to hardware, SECO offers a software environment for device management, IoT and Edge AI with the Clea platform, Clea OS and Clea Studio AI. Custom solutions go through engineering covering board design and simulation through signal integrity and compliance verification to embedded software development; time to series production is approximately 12 to 18 months, and approximately 5 to 7 months for standard products. The company employs more than 800 people, around 300 of them in research and development, and produced more than one million devices in 2025. Customers include companies from robotics, medical technology, the energy sector, retail, aerospace and defense.
