About SBB
Since 2007, Segment-Behälter-Bau GmbH (SBB) has been manufacturing firefighting water and sprinkler water storage tanks in segmented construction at its sites in Wolmirstedt (administration) and Irxleben (production). The portfolio includes tanks in SIKA construction with SIKAFLEX sealing, Inliner tanks with PVC membrane, and hybrid tanks with two separate chambers, complemented by pump stations, connecting structures and accessories. The tanks are built with volumes from 30 to 5,000 m³ from galvanized steel profiles, black steel, and strip-galvanized and hot-dip galvanized steel; processes include punching, laser cutting, plasma cutting and welding. In addition to tank construction, the company offers series and contract manufacturing to drawing as well as surfaces such as powder coating in RAL colors. As a full-solution provider, SBB handles structural calculations, design, transport, on-site assembly as well as inspection, maintenance and refurbishment – including underwater drone inspection. Customers are general contractors, plant engineers, engineering firms and direct customers from fire protection, industry and plant engineering, both domestic and international.

Quality & Certification
Tanks are manufactured according to FM Global, DIN EN 1090-1 EXC 2 and VdS guidelines and are sold exclusively with CE marking. Regular visual and condition checks, leak tests and inspections with underwater drones or diving robots ensure operational safety; with a maintenance contract, the watertightness warranty is extended to 10 years.
