About Us
SEI Automotive Europe GmbH is a subsidiary of the Japanese Sumitomo Electric Group and of Sumitomo Wiring Systems and has been active in the European market for electrical automotive equipment since 1997. As a development partner and the group's European competence center, the company focuses on research and advanced product development in the field of wiring harness systems and related components. Its areas of work include concept development for signal and power transmission, simulation of electrical systems, development of innovative connectors with a focus on semiconductor technologies and miniaturization, as well as wiring harness architectures for information and power distribution. Another key focus is the development of high-voltage cable sets and components for hybrid and electric vehicles with the aim of reducing CO2 emissions and saving weight, among other things through the use of aluminum. The developed systems and components are tested and validated in the company's own ANT-E laboratory through simulations and in-house hardware tests; prototypes are produced by 3D printing. Locations are in Wiesbaden (headquarters) and Wolfsburg.

Additional services
Quality & Testing
The ANT-E laboratory tests new components and systems from all departmental divisions, also tests and evaluates components from sister companies according to customer requirements, and conducts regular quality investigations. With the vibration test rig, even more complex components with the most demanding test requirements can be evaluated.
