About SEITEC
SEITEC GmbH was founded in 1998 by graduate engineer Frank Seiferth (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) and has operated as a GmbH headquartered in Königsee (Thuringia) since 2003. The company is a system integrator and full-service provider for special-purpose machinery, plant engineering, automation and digitalization in the manufacturing and process industries. At its Erfurt site, SEITEC together with its partners Retrag and Mehnert operates a competence center for plant and machinery engineering with around 100 specialists; there, special-purpose machines and subsystems are designed, assembled and commissioned as one-off and small-batch production. The value chain covers concept development, 3D-CAD design and FEM calculation, electrical engineering (EPLAN P8, DIN EN 61082, UL508A), PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS programming, virtual commissioning, FAT, assembly as well as worldwide commissioning and after-sales service. Customers come from the steel, wood, chemical and glass industries, hydrogen technology and raw material processing; project partners include SEW-Eurodrive and Ford (Cologne plant). Since 2002, SEITEC has also been engaged in publicly funded research projects on AI, IIoT and Industry 4.0 and is active with projects in over 25 countries.
