About Selvyk
Selvyk GmbH, based in Kiel, industrializes the finishing of rope. While rope manufacturing itself has long been automated, the final production steps – knotting, splicing and securing the rope ends (whipping/seizing) – have so far been done by hand. Selvyk develops its own automated tools and production processes that make these work steps reproducible and standardizable. The company offers contract manufacturing of finished rope products such as soft shackles and Dyneema loops, as well as the development, manufacture and distribution of machinery and automation solutions for rope processing. Defined process parameters replace craft-based variability and enable documented, consistent quality in series production.
