About Sensoptic
Sensoptic develops and delivers automatic turn-key systems for the continuous monitoring of surface defects and short-term diameter deviations such as lumps, neck-downs, blisters and slubs on fine wires and filaments. The systems comprise proprietary optical sensors, data acquisition hardware and data management software. These include the Vision and Sensystem product lines. Sensoptic supports customers worldwide in the design, installation and operation of multiline systems. The technology enables automatic and objective quality control instead of subjective, time-consuming visual inspection of kilometres-long spools, real-time monitoring of production processes and predictive maintenance. This allows machine availability and end-product quality to be improved, and good spools to be classified and sorted out from bad ones. Fields of application are magnet wires (round and flat) for the electronics industry, metallic wires and cables, monofilaments for industrial and medical applications, extruded tubes for medical devices, multifilaments and yarns for technical textiles, and glass fibres for telecommunications and sensor technology.
