About SEV
Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Espelkamp (Minden-Lübbecke district), SEV-Steuerungstechnik GmbH specializes in systems and solutions for winding technology. Its portfolio includes devices for current-pulse bonding of windings and coils, winding machines and winding equipment with integrated bonding technology, as well as impregnation systems for the electronics industry. In addition, the company develops process control software, manufactures control cabinets and implements fieldbus-level networks for industrial communication. A key focus was the thermal bonding of coils in metallic winding bodies directly in the winding machine, combined with rapid shut-off of the bonding voltage in the event of a short circuit to protect the winding body. Since April 2021, the bonding systems division has been part of SCHLEICH GmbH (SCHLEICH Advanced Test Technologies, Hemer); support for existing SEV systems is handled by SCHLEICH. The company was later renamed SEV e-mobility GmbH.
