About sewts
sewts GmbH was founded in Munich in 2019 and develops automation solutions for the handling of easily deformable materials such as textiles, rubber, cable harnesses, and food. At the core are the sewts.VELUM system for automated textile handling and sorting, which processes up to 600 towels per hour in industrial laundries, and the software platform sewts.JUPITER, which generates simulation-based designs for robot cells including control code from project parameters. The systems use 2D and 3D computer vision as well as AI algorithms that translate sensor data into precise robot actions; FE material simulations provide synthetic training data to shorten development cycles. Customers come from industries such as industrial laundries, the textile and sewing industry, returns processing, rubber parts assembly, and food processing. The headquarters with office and development is located in Munich (HRB 248952).
