About Shin-Etsu Silicone
Shin-Etsu Silicone is the silicone division of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. headquartered in Tokyo and manufactures silicone products in nearly all processing forms: liquid silicones (oils), silicone powders, millable and liquid silicone rubbers (LSR), silicone gels, resins, silanes as well as finished formulations such as gap fillers, thermal interface materials, sealants, coatings and die-bonding materials. Manufacturing begins with monomer synthesis from silicon dioxide and methanol, followed by silane rectification and refining into functionalized products, including thermally conductive and carbon-neutral certified variants (Shin-Etsu Green Silicones™). The main customer industries are personal care/cosmetics, automotive and e-mobility (PCU, lithium-ion batteries), electronic devices, paints and coatings as well as construction. Production takes place in Japan (Gunma Complex, Naoetsu, Takefu) and Thailand; the European headquarters is located in Almere (Netherlands), and the branch in Wiesbaden is responsible for industrial applications in Germany.
