SHWT e.K. – Solar Heating and Water Technology – is a manufacturer of domestic hot water, solar, buffer and latent heat storage tanks based in Zwingenberg in Hesse. The product range includes enamelled steel storage tanks of the EWS series (160–2000 litres), patented drinking water storage tanks of the NGWS series (160–500 litres) with heat exchangers made of elliptical tubes, high-performance storage tanks with smooth tube and double-tube heat exchangers for heat pumps (HWS series, 160–1000 litres), buffer storage tanks (30–2000 litres), stainless steel storage tanks as well as PCM-filled latent heat storage tanks (500–1000 litres). Enamelled vessels are enamelled using the two-coat process; in addition, the company manufactures electric heating elements from copper and distributes magnesium anodes as well as spare parts. Each storage tank is individually tested and delivered with a five-year functional warranty. The company's own product development has led, among other things, to a utility model for a vent valve; vacuum insulation is in planning. Customers are found in heating and sanitary engineering, heat pump and solar technology, and in drinking and process water treatment.
