About SIAG Tube & Tower
SIAG Tube & Tower GmbH manufactures steel towers for onshore wind turbines in Leipzig. The value chain comprises the cutting of steel plates by oxy-fuel cutting with weld seam preparation and plasma marking, the production of tower sections in steel construction, blast priming as well as primer and topcoat finishing, and finally final assembly with mechanical and electrical components. Every year, more than 2,500 plates and over 20,000 tonnes of steel are cut, more than 50,000 metres of weld seam are produced and around 220,000 square metres of surface are coated. The sections are up to 35 metres long and weigh 80 tonnes; over 100 onshore towers leave the plant each year. SIAG supplies customers in Germany and Europe across 28 delivery countries and has been a partner of the energy transition for more than 30 years.
