About SICcast
SICcast Mineralguß GmbH & Co. KG, based in Witten, designs, manufactures and coats components that are exposed in liquid media to severe erosion corrosion, abrasion and/or corrosion. The company works with patented silicon carbide materials: SICcast plus (SiSiC industrial ceramics) for the highest wear rates under extreme operating conditions, SICcast EP135 (mineral cast made of silicon carbide and hot-curing epoxy resin, cast at atmospheric pressure under vacuum) as well as the coating materials SIConit, SIConit F and SIConit X for repair and surface protection at pH values from 0 to 14 and temperatures up to 100 °C. In addition to new manufacture, SICcast offers the reconstruction and repair of worn components such as impellers, wear plates, GRP pipes and flanges. Applications lie in particular in flue gas desulfurization, marine/shipbuilding, pump technology and pipeline construction with GRP pipes. With its concept of research, production, service and material supply, the company is represented on the European market through franchise partners.
