SIDRA Wasserchemie GmbH, headquartered in Ibbenbüren, produces and distributes iron-III chemicals for water treatment and wastewater purification. The company specializes in liquid precipitation chemicals based on trivalent iron salts, in particular iron-III chloride solutions, complemented by iron-II chloride solutions. The products are used, among other things, for phosphate elimination, flocculation, sludge conditioning, emulsion splitting, precipitation and sulfide elimination. Fields of application include municipal wastewater treatment, drinking water and process water treatment, biogas plants, and industries such as automotive, food, leather, textile and paper, power plants as well as oil and chemicals. The product range comprises FeCl3 solutions at 40 % (DIN Type 1 drinking water quality, DWA/DIN wastewater treatment) and 36 % as well as FeCl2 solutions at 30 %, 28 % and 20 %. In addition to production sites in Ibbenbüren and Bitterfeld, SIDRA maintains a site in Belgium and supplies customers across large parts of Europe and in the USA.
