About Siebenwurst Werkzeugbau
Siebenwurst Werkzeugbau GmbH Zwickau was founded in 1991 by Leonhard and Christian Siebenwurst in the former toolmaking operation of VEB Sachsenring and, as an owner-managed company, is a partner to the automotive industry and its suppliers. The company plans, designs and manufactures tools for all areas of stamping and forming technology – among others transfer die sets, deep-drawing and press tools, cutting tools for formed and tailored-blank blanks, tools for forming tubes and profiles, internal high-pressure forming tools (hydroforming) as well as punching fixtures for plastic and fibre-composite parts and deburring tools for aluminium castings. The value chain ranges from CAD data transfer through method planning, deep-drawing simulation, design and CAM programming to tool manufacturing, testing, sample approval and inspection in accordance with VDA. Materials include steel, high-strength sheet metal, aluminium, plastic and fibre composites. The main Zwickau site offers around 5,200 m² of production space with large-volume 5-axis gantry milling machines, a 40,000-kN combination press for external and internal high-pressure forming, and 3D coordinate measuring machines; a design office with 13 employees is located in Eisenach. Since 1993, the company has provided complete on-site tool service in the press shop of the Volkswagen plant in Saxony and also offers pre-series and small-series production, contract machining, 3D digitization, tool repair and breakdown service.

Quality and Certifications
Tools leave the company only after several measuring stages and inspection checks; initial sample inspection reports are prepared in accordance with VDA or customer-specific standards. For seamless quality control, among other things a Zeiss 3D coordinate measuring machine in a climate-controlled room as well as optical 3D scanners are used.
