Sila Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH is a family-run company founded in 1975, located in the Rems Valley near Stuttgart, specializing in the processing of thermoplastic plastics. Its core competence is the bubble-free bonding and machining of acrylic glass (PMMA) and polycarbonate; in addition, TRESPA, wood combined with acrylic glass and, on request, recycled acrylic glass are also processed. The range of services extends from planning, design and construction to cutting, drilling, milling, polishing, gluing and thread cutting through to the assembly of complete products; production is carried out according to customer designs in any lot size, from a quantity of 1. For mechanical engineering, the company manufactures covers and protective hoods, doors, cover plates, panes, windows, panels, guides as well as viewing and splash protection, plus moulded parts, angles, containers and structural parts for special machinery. Further product areas are hygiene protection articles, balcony and terrace cladding, brochure holders, hanging pockets, lecterns and LCD touchscreen steles. Target groups, alongside mechanical engineering, include gastronomy, the furniture industry, advertising and presentation, as well as retail, hotels and medical practices. For machining tasks involving aluminium or stainless steel, there is a cooperation with Baur Zerspanungstechnik. Workshop, office and warehouse have been under one roof in Weinstadt-Endersbach since 2001.
