Materials and Processes
Calcium silicate
Dense, thermally stable insulation materials, including SILCA 250KM boards for heating appliances and heating chambers.
Ceramic fibres (aluminium silicate)
Basis of the SILCAFLEX mats, papers, cords and modules for temperatures from 1,260 to 1,600 °C.
Biosoluble high-temperature fibre (calcium-magnesium-silicate)
SILCAWOOL fibres, which are not classified as hazardous substances and serve as an alternative to ceramic fibres.
Wollastonite
Base material of the SILCASAL 110-96B boards without artificial mineral fibres.
Polycrystalline fibres
Used in SILCAVAC/SILCABOARD shaped parts for applications up to 1,800 °C.
E-glass (furnace seal cords)
SILCAVER 55 furnace seal cords for thermal separation and sealing in chimney and tiled stove construction.
Aluminium
Field of application light metal casting with SILCA linings and casting launder systems.
Sodium silicate
Base material of the non-combustible SILCADUR 110 installation foam for heating appliances.
