About Silo & Beton Melezza SA
Silo & Beton Melezza SA, based in Losone, produces classified concretes for building construction and civil engineering as well as specialty concretes tailored to specific structural or architectural requirements. The raw materials largely come from its own supply: gravel and sand from river extraction in Camedo (with cantonal concession) as well as from excavation work in the Locarnese region are processed into aggregates at the company's own Silo-Work through crushing, screening and washing. Two fully automatic, permanently installed concrete plants in Losone achieve a combined daily output of over 80 m³/h. In addition, unbound mixtures for road and railway subbases are produced. The family-owned company also carries out excavation and demolition work as well as recycling of excavation and demolition material; non-recyclable material is disposed of in an authorized landfill in accordance with OPSR. An in-house dispatch center coordinates the delivery fleet for on-time concrete deliveries in Ticino.
