SINOWELL Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2009 by Dr. Luo Jia (Fudan University) in the Fudan Founders Building and is a provider of solutions for intelligent plant cultivation and indoor growing. The company develops and distributes its own branded products: the indoor growing brand VIVOSUN, the commercial growing equipment brand FLEXSTAR, and the smart home brand VIVOHOME. Since 2010 the company has operated its own factory, integrating production and trade. The company maintains subsidiaries in the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and Thailand and supplies customers in over 70 countries; according to company statements, more than 15 million products have been sold to date. A 60-member R&D team for software and hardware developed the SGS-IoT-based smart growing system. Awards include the Red Dot Design Award 2022 for the VIVOSUN fan and lighting series as well as the IDEA Award 2024 for the VGrow Smart Growing Box.
