About Sintares
Sintares AG, based in Basel, is a Swiss company specialised in the development and production of flexible binders. Its main product is OMB (Organo-Mineral Binder), a hybrid binder combining organic acrylic polymers with mineral components based on silicate or sand. OMB is completely free of biocides and preservatives, is characterised by high UV and colour stability, dirt resistance, controlled moisture management and lasting flexibility, and adheres to both mineral and organic substrates. The company emerged in April 2025 from vanBaerle AG, a Swiss traditional firm with over 130 years of experience in silicate production; a ten-person team took over the further development and marketing of the technology. In addition to binders, Sintares offers reference formulations and customer-specific colour formulations as well as technical support and application technology. Its main fields of application are architectural paints and wood coatings.

Materials & Technology
OMB (Organo-Mineral Binder)
Hybrid binder made of organic and mineral polymers for biocide-free, flexible coatings; product variants OMB 121, OMB 123, OMB 131 and OMB 133.
Silicate (mineral binder)
Traditional mineral binder, the technological foundation of over 130 years of vanBaerle experience.
Acrylic polymers (low Tg value)
Organic polymers that do not require coalescing agents and contribute to the flexibility of the system.
Styrene-acrylic polymer
Organic polymer commonly used in the paint and coatings industry, the starting point of the hybrid development.
Mineral components based on sand
Mineral fraction of the OMB system for robustness and more sustainable coatings.
