About SIP Industrial Promotion SA
SIP Industrial Promotion SA is a Swiss company founded in 1974 and headquartered in San Vittore, which sees itself as an 'industrial production laboratory'. The core of the business is the high-tech processing (compounding) of technical plastics. The company is regarded as a leading national player in the field of black masterbatches based on polyamide as well as conductive compounds (carbon black, carbon nanotubes), halogen-free flame-retardant compounds (V0, halides-free) and reinforced compounds with glass and carbon fibres, nanoclays and bio-based additives. Production takes place on 7 extrusion lines with Tri-Global twin-screw extruders, equipped with gravimetric dosing, melt filtration, static mixers, pre-mixing and pre- and post-drying; a metal separator is used during bagging. The annual production capacity exceeds 2,000 tonnes. The in-house laboratory offers extensive standardized plastics testing (including tensile, flexural, impact strength, MFR/MVR, UL94), material drying, sample injection moulding and compression moulding; DSC and SEM analyses are carried out via external partners. Customer applications include, among others, electrical engineering/electronics (EMC shielding) and applications with flame protection requirements.
