SIS-Licht GmbH & Co. KG is a company founded in 1924, family-run in the fourth generation, based in Schweinfurt, specializing in the development and production of adjustable workplace and machine luminaires. The product range includes LED articulated-arm luminaires, flexible-arm luminaires, magnifier luminaires, protective-tube luminaires (IP 67) and surface-mounted luminaires for machines and systems, LED light bars and system luminaires for production, assembly and test benches, ESD luminaires for the electronics industry, as well as pendant and articulated-arm luminaires for office workplaces. The range is complemented by bed luminaires and wall luminaires for hospitals and care facilities, and, together with the partner Lichttechnik Meier, by luminaires for dental technology, watchmaking and goldsmithing. The machine luminaires are designed for harsh production environments – vibration- and shock-resistant, oil-resistant, resistant to flying swarf and available with ingress protection ratings up to IP 67, with protective tubes made of borosilicate glass (safety glass). Distribution is via original equipment manufacturers and trade partners at home and abroad as well as directly to industrial customers such as Kern Technik GmbH & Co. KG, which equips measuring and testing stations with LED system luminaires. Production takes place at the headquarters in Schweinfurt, where sales and administration are also located.

Founded by Karl Lang jun. (with partner Max Klöffel) on Luitpoldstraße in Schweinfurt; idea of the swivel lamp, first patent for a double rotary joint for carrying arms of electric luminaires.
1925
New start with Rudolf Dähn under the name R. Dähn & K. Lang (SIRIUS) at the Zeughaus in Schweinfurt; brother Erich Lang joins.
1935
Patent specification by Karl Lang for the “adjustable electric work luminaire with double-surface deep reflector”.
1970er
Erich Lang's sons Heinz and Karl continue to run the company.
2000
Stefan Lang (4th generation) takes over the management.
