About SKalia GmbH
Since 2006, SKalia GmbH has been active as an independent service provider and specialist in the wind energy sector. The company carries out inspections, repairs and maintenance on rotor blades, turbine towers and components of wind turbines onshore and offshore. Rotor blade repairs cover laminate and erosion damage, insurance damage, add-on elements such as vortex generators, erosion protection films and stall strips, as well as repair of the lightning protection system; inspections include visual, acoustic and blade interior inspections as well as low-resistance measurements. For access technology, the company uses its own rotor blade climbing platforms with open platforms and enclosed gondola platforms as well as rope access technology. In industrial services, SKalia GmbH offers advertising and building installations on steel and glass structures. The permanent workforce includes around 40 service technicians with qualifications such as FISAT Level 2/3 and GWO certificates; the teams service more than 1,000 wind turbines per year in Germany and abroad for operators, asset owners and manufacturers. Locations are Bergen auf Rügen with its own training center for work-at-height professionals and Potsdam.
