About us
Skandach Holzindustrie GmbH is a timber engineering company founded in 1993 and based in Unseburg near Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt. At its production facility, the company manufactures nail plate structures (roof trusses), wall, roof and ceiling elements in timber frame construction as well as prefabricated roofs for complex roof shapes and solid cross-sections. The material used is mainly fine-grained Nordic spruce from sustainable, PEFC-certified cultivation; the structural timber is kiln-dried to a residual moisture content of a maximum of 18 to 20 percent. The design is done with industry-standard 3D software including structural calculations by internal and external structural engineers, followed by automated prefabrication with high precision. The range of services includes consulting, planning, delivery with articulated lorries including unloading with the company's own crane, assembly plans and final assembly on the construction site. Customers are property developers, the timber and building materials trade, carpentry and roofing companies; the company is part of the Danish Nordic Wood industrial group and employs around 50 staff.
