SKET Verseilmaschinenbau GmbH develops, designs, manufactures and assembles machines and equipment for the cable and wire rope industry. The product range includes basket stranding machines with and without back twist (MKRD/MVD, MKVS, MKD as Rigid Strander), Central Strander MKZ, universal stranding machines MWR, vertical stranding machines MVD for long deep-sea cables, high-speed and pipe stranding machines SRW as well as double twist stranding machines MSDN/MSDC. The machines are used, among other things, for the production of OPGW, Fibre Optic Submarine Cables, offshore power cables as well as steel strands and steel ropes. The company operates a 40,000 m² company site in Magdeburg with over 10,000 m² of production and assembly space and employs 150 engineers and skilled workers. Systems are delivered worldwide; the company is part of the WILMS Group of companies.
