About SKYLEVATOR
SKYLEVATOR is a provider of customized lift systems for aircraft. The system raises aircraft in hangars to a second level, making use of existing hall height for additional parking spaces without conversions, wall attachments or foundations. The trigger for the development was a space problem after the construction of the new powered aircraft hangar in Kufstein-Langkampfen (LOIK) in 2017. Behind SKYLEVATOR are Johannes Brandsma (HTL mechanical engineering/aviation technology, technology and sales) and Helmut Farthofer (managing director of Farthofer GmbH), who combine design and manufacturing. Manufacturing takes place in Wörgl, Tyrol, at Farthofer GmbH, a steel construction company. The systems are designed as chain hoists with a patented safety brake coupling system, in modular design, made of hot-dip galvanized steel, ready to connect with a 400-V socket. Customers are hangar operators, hall owners, flying clubs and private pilots, with a focus on the DACH region. Assembly can be carried out in-house; in case of relocation, systems can be dismantled and reassembled. A viewing is possible at Kufstein-Langkampfen airfield.
