SMARTKAT Bootsbau und Vertriebs GmbH develops and distributes at its site in Haag, Austria, the inflatable sailing catamarans smartkat® in the models 400, 460 and 500 as well as the ultralight SmartSUP stand-up paddle board. The catamarans can be assembled with an electric pump in 20 to 25 minutes, fit into two transport bags and are suitable as airline baggage. The hulls are made of DTEX 1100 fabric, the frame of aluminium 6061 T5; rudder and centreboard are made of aluminium with PVC protective caps, the rigging of stainless steel 304 and the sails of pre-stretched Dacron. The boats are certified up to 6 Beaufort (ISO 6185-2, Category C/D) and designed for 1 to 4 persons. The company offers consultation, test sailing, spare parts, service and worldwide shipping as well as Ready-to-Sail packages.
