About SmartRay
SmartRay GmbH, headquartered in Wolfratshausen near Munich, is a privately managed high-tech company in the field of industrial 3D sensor technology. The company develops and manufactures 3D sensors based on laser triangulation (the ECCO product family) as well as JOSY, an all-in-one system for weld seam inspection consisting of sensor, configurable software and support. The sensors achieve scan speeds of up to 40 kHz with up to 2 × 4096 3D points per profile and a vertical resolution below 0.5 µm; all sensors are delivered pre-calibrated from the factory. Applications include 100% inspection of weld seams in the automotive industry, hairpin testing in e-mobility, the measurement of glowing forged parts up to 1,000 °C, and the inspection of glass and reflective surfaces. In addition to sensor development, the scope of delivery includes StarterKit software with SDK and drivers.
