About smartwoody
smartwoody GmbH, headquartered in Schlins (Vorarlberg, Austria), develops and markets an early warning system against water damage in building structures. Sensor strips are installed in the construction at moisture-critical points of the building – such as service shafts, wet rooms, flat roofs, terraces, loggias or kitchen units – and continuously monitor them for water ingress. The sensors report the moisture status to an evaluation unit at regular intervals: with the smartwoody online variant, data is transmitted to the smartwoody cloud with live insight and remote alarming via internet-capable devices; with smartwoody offline, alarming takes place locally via acoustic and visual signals. The measured values are fully automatically evaluated on a project-specific basis using a building physics algorithm, so that damage can be detected and localized early. The system serves for early detection and does not replace a building waterproofing system. Reference projects have been implemented, among others, with purelivin (Schruns, Tettnang), VogeWosi (Feldkirch), Zima (Langenegg), Gantnertower (Schruns) and ÖWG (Judenburg). Customers come primarily from residential construction and housing management as well as timber construction and the construction industry.
