About SMELA
SMELA GmbH, based in Magdeburg, develops, manufactures and distributes highly compact electromechanical linear actuators for industrial applications. The liteECO® BASE and liteECO® INTEGRATED product families replace pneumatic short-stroke cylinders with electric drives featuring an integrated servo motor and positioning sensor technology. According to the manufacturer, the highly efficient drive saves up to 90% energy compared to pneumatics and reduces the space requirement by up to 80% compared to existing electric solutions. The actuators are used in production lines, machine tools and packaging systems. The liteECO® INTEGRATED series features an integrated drive controller with EtherCAT, digital IOs and the STO safety function. In addition, SMELA offers a refurbishment service in which worn mechanics are replaced, as well as services ranging from initial consultation to commissioning. Production and development are located at the headquarters in Magdeburg.
