About SRK

Since 1998, Sobernheimer Rohstoff-Kontor GmbH (SRK) has been processing thermoplastic plastic waste into high-quality ground material and agglomerate. The company processes almost all clean, single-polymer polymers – from films, PP woven fabric (e.g. big bags), sheets, pipes and solid rods to chips, powders and large lumps; contaminated materials are also processed by sorting wherever possible. The services include the purchase and marketing of plastic waste including logistics, the sale of single-polymer recyclates, and contract processing into ground material or agglomerate. At the site in the Pferdsfeld Industrial Park in Bad Sobernheim, approximately 30,000 sqm of space across four halls is available for storage and processing, including a post-consumer processing plant with a capacity of at least 6,000 tonnes per year as well as a plant for sorted commercial waste (shredding, demetallization, dry cleaning, agglomeration). In 2022, the joint venture KAS GmbH was founded together with Renolit SE for the marketing of PVC recyclates. SRK supplies more than 50 customers throughout Europe and has recycled a total of around 150,000 tonnes of plastic.
