Sönke Bruhn GmbH & Co. KG is a timber trading company founded in Hamburg in 1966 that specialises in the import and export of veneers, round timber and sawn timber from predominantly African as well as North and South American wood species. The company produces veneers and sawn timber in various thicknesses and lengths and permanently stocks 1–2 million m² of veneer in numerous wood species and qualities at its site near the Port of Hamburg. The sales area covers approx. 3,000 m² and features an integrated truck pit that allows weather-independent loading and unloading. In addition, there is a showroom for special veneers such as pyramids, clustered and pommelé blocks. Purchasing and sales largely run through long-standing personal contacts; the company is also committed to social projects in Africa and Brazil.
