About SOF Optoelectronics
SOF Optoelectronics Light GmbH i.L., based in Eschweiler, develops and manufactures LED lighting solutions: LED strips, aluminium profile systems as well as LED controllers and power supplies. Based on over 30 years of experience in the manufacture and use of LEDs, the company assembles LED strips and aluminium profiles to project-specific requirements – including custom lengths, LED density and matching ballasts. The range of services includes a waterproof synthetic resin encapsulation with IP68 protection rating, powder coating in RAL colours and anodising of aluminium profiles. The solutions are aimed at architects, lighting designers as well as shop and trade fair constructors. Since 1 January 2024, the LED lighting solutions business division has been continued by the partner PUR-LED; SOF Optoelectronics has since refocused on its core area, plant engineering for the semiconductor industry.

Aluminium alloy (profiles)
The aluminium profiles protect the LED strips from external influences, act as heat sinks and are available in around 700 variants.
Polycarbonate (covers/diffusers)
UV-resistant and shatterproof covers in clear, semi-matt and matt, up to 6 m in length.
Synthetic resin (encapsulation)
In IP68 encapsulation, the synthetic resin fully encloses the LED strip and cables inside the aluminium profile.
Plastic (end caps)
Aesthetically shaped plastic end caps close off the profile systems.
