About SOLABOLIC
Solabolic GmbH is an Austrian technology company based in Vienna that develops the patented parabolic trough technology SOLABOLIC RD01 for Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) and offers it under license. The concept transfers the principle of the suspension bridge to solar collectors: the parabolic shape is created by uniform force distribution via chains, without complex high-tech manufacturing or assembly processes. This makes larger apertures possible than the industrial standard, with advantages confirmed by TU Wien: 10 % higher energy yield per aperture area, 20 % more efficient land use and around 40 % fewer components. Flexible glass strips replace pre-formed parabolic mirrors. In addition to licensing, the company offers consulting, design, prototyping, engineering, planning, feasibility studies and project supervision for solar energy systems and components, including PV hybridization.
