DIE PULVERFABRIK is an event venue in the Neckar valley of Rottweil, operated by Solar Professional Reinhold Orawetz e.K. The listed factory hall was built in 1915 for the production of black powder under Max Duttenhofer and is part of an imperial/royal industrial complex from 1915/1916. On up to 1,500 m² of space, three halls are available: the Cathedral (over 700 m², up to 800 people, with a historic travelling crane), the Tower Hall (around 245–260 m², up to 190 people) and the Turning Shop Hall (over 260 m²), complemented by an outdoor area directly on the Neckar river (300–1,200 m²). The venue offers hall rental for weddings, private celebrations as well as conferences, seminars, lectures and trade fairs — usable all year round, 365 days a year. Services include in-house catering as well as partner caterers, decoration, event planning and organisation, and in-house technicians for lighting, sound and presentation technology including streaming technology for hybrid events. The Cathedral has been equipped accordingly since winter 2019; a free WLAN hotspot is available indoors. Over 250 parking spaces are available at the Neckartal 142 site; Rottweil railway station is about 3 km away.
