Solarfarm RE GmbH, based in Mainz, is a project developer for ground-mounted photovoltaic systems and battery storage (BESS). The company accompanies projects along the entire value chain: from land acquisition and leasing, permitting and development plan procedures, securing grid connection and cable route planning through to financing, construction with partners from an established implementation network, as well as repowering and complete decommissioning including a decommissioning guarantee. In addition to classic ground-mounted systems, Solarfarm also develops agriculturally integrated Agri-PV concepts and hybrid sites combining PV and storage. For site assessment, the company is working on an AI-supported web-based platform for automated land and grid assessment, whose feasibility is being examined within the framework of a funded feasibility study. The portfolio comprises 37 PV projects with 1,730 MWp, 41 battery storage projects with 2,520 MW and a total of 4,250 MW in development; the experience is based on more than 60 realized solar projects with over 800 MWp on around 850 hectares. Target groups are farmers, landowners, municipalities and project developers in Germany.
