About Solarwatt
SOLARWATT GmbH was founded in Dresden in 1993 as a manufacturer of special modules and is today a system provider for photovoltaics active across Europe. The company manufactures impact-resistant glass-glass solar modules for roofs, carports and facades as well as lithium-ion-based battery storage systems; since 2024, module production has been partly carried out by Asian contract manufacturers. In addition to manufacturing, Solarwatt offers complete solutions from a single source: planning and installation of PV systems with project sizes from 100 kWp to 10 MWp, electricity storage including scalable commercial storage systems, inverters, wallboxes, heat pumps, and intelligent energy management with the SOLARWATT Manager. Customers include private households, commercial enterprises, industry and the housing sector; reference projects include the Berlin Olympic Stadium, BMW Welt Munich, Vonovia and Zeppelin Systems. The headquarters with production line is located in Dresden; the company has its own sales and installation teams in Bochum, Frankfurt, Kassel, Leipzig and Schaumburg, complemented by a network of more than 400 certified partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. More than 750,000 systems have been installed across Europe.
