About Solarzentrum Stuttgart
Solarzentrum Stuttgart GmbH is a specialized company originating from photovoltaic research at the University of Stuttgart, based in Stuttgart. The team plans and installs customized PV systems for private households and companies in the Stuttgart region, handling all steps from the initial consultation to final acceptance in-house. A key focus is the inspection of photovoltaic systems: performance measurement, thermal imaging, expert report preparation, as well as electroluminescence (EL) and photoluminescence (PL) measurements in daylight using the patented DaySy measurement technology. This makes it possible to detect microcracks, shunts, degradation, transport damage, hail damage, as well as manufacturing and installation defects even in the installed state. The DaySy measurement technology is sold and rented out, complemented by drone-based daylight EL/PL inspection for rooftop systems and a fully automated daylight EL robot (DaySy Rover) for ground-mounted systems. Assignments include, among others, 50-MWp PV parks in Spain and 1-MWp rooftop systems in northern Germany.

Measurement Technology & Processes
Electroluminescence in daylight
Energized modules or strings are examined with the DaySy camera using high-resolution EL defect images, from single module up to 100% measurement.
Photoluminescence in daylight
Measurement without a power source, as the energy comes from the sun, with detection of the same defect types as in EL.
Drone-based daylight EL/PL inspection
C2-certified drone from UP Caeli for the inspection of rooftop PV systems.
Fully automated daylight EL robot
Automated electroluminescence inspection of ground-mounted PV systems.
