About Solprag
Solprag GmbH, based in Horw (Canton of Lucerne), provides research, development, consulting and services in the fields of automation, software development and control engineering. In industrial automation, the company supports robot integrators with 2D/3D image processing (vision), AI and advanced control engineering, and develops robust controls for machines and systems, among other things based on Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, OPC UA and cloud/MQTT connectivity. Robotics integration includes systems from KUKA, Stäubli, UR and Mitsubishi; in the vision field, OpenCV (2D), Halcon (3D), bin-picking and stereovision are used. Together with experienced CAD and design partners, Solprag also realizes mechatronic systems from concept to prototype. In the smart building sector, the company develops intelligent controls for lighting, shading, HVAC and room comfort. From 2018 to 2022, Solprag participated in the 'Advanced Automation' research project of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences; reference projects include EMPA-NEST Meet2Create, Glatt Tower Dübendorf, KV Luzern and a numerical control for a weaving loom.
