About SOLTOP Energie
SOLTOP Energie AG, headquartered in Elgg ZH, has been active as a pioneer in renewable energy in Switzerland since 1973. The company develops and markets holistic solutions for photovoltaics (in-roof system SwissSolarRoof, on-roof and flat-roof systems such as Duraklick and Duramont), battery storage, heat pumps, solar thermal, ice storage and efficient heating systems. The KIGO climate ceilings are manufactured in the company's own production facility in Elgg: in the patented KIGO Copper process, a rectangularly perforated copper sheet (standard width 390 mm or 590 mm) is laser-welded with a 12-mm copper pipe at a minimum spacing of 80 mm; the surface heat exchanger is bonded over its full area into metal ceiling panels. This laser welding technique has long been used in the manufacture of solar absorbers for glazed collectors. Customer groups include solar installers, roofing companies, electrical and heating installers, planners and architects; reference customers include Microsoft, Geneva Airport, the city of Monthey and Lidl Sierre. Sales and projects in the EU and Norway are managed through SOLTOP Energie GmbH in Hergatz (DE).
