About SOLTOP Energie
SOLTOP Energie AG, based in Elgg (CH), specialises in solar energy solutions and, among other products, supplies the DIRECTFLOW vacuum tube collector (T6-DF) for heating, process heat and hot water generation. The collector system developed by Daimler Benz Aerospace has been proven for 25 years and is in use thousands of times over. The tubes are made of 2.8 mm thick, shatterproof borosilicate glass; the vacuum-tight connection between tube and stainless steel closure is produced using the thermo-compression process. Thanks to a highly selective coating, thermal losses remain low, and the collectors achieve up to 50 % more output compared to conventional flat-plate collectors. The modules can be mounted on pitched roofs, flat roofs or on façades and combined into systems of any size – from single-family homes to industrial process heat installations. In addition to thermal collectors, the company offers photovoltaics, heat pumps and cooling ceilings as well as planning support and customer service; distribution in the EU and Norway is handled by SUNDA Solar GmbH in Schlüchtern.
