SOMMER Antriebs- und Funktechnik GmbH, headquartered in Kirchheim unter Teck, develops and manufactures garage door operators, swing gate and sliding gate operators, industrial door operators, barriers, access systems as well as radio technology and intelligent smart-home solutions. Hardware and software development are carried out entirely in-house, complemented by an in-house test and inspection centre in which door drives and door systems are certified according to EN 12453. The processes include development, assembly, testing and service, including retrofitting of operators on sectional doors, up-and-over doors, roller doors and swing gates. The products are distributed exclusively through the specialized trade.
