About us
Sommerfeld engineering solutions is an owner-managed engineering office based in Leichlingen, specialising in special machinery, systems and fixture engineering. Its services include design and development, automation technology, concept development, product development, calculation and simulation as well as drawing derivation and documentation. In manufacturing, the company produces special machinery, fixtures, prototypes, gauges and acceptance gauges, small series, mould-making tooling and demonstration models; first samples as well as small, zero and series production are carried out through a network of partner companies. In the area of management, the company offers schedule and cost management, FMEA execution, support with process analyses and the evaluation of customer requirements. CAD tools used include Unigraphics NX and Catia, and on request also Pro-Engineer, Solid Edge and Inventor. Reference customers include companies from mechanical engineering, automotive, medical technology and industry such as Bayer HealthCare, Bertrandt, Johnson Controls, Rolls-Royce, SKF, Osram and Zwilling.
