SP Formenbau is a mould-making company based in Bad Rappenau-Bonfeld near Heilbronn, established in 1996. The team of master craftsmen, skilled workers and programmers designs and manufactures injection moulds for plastic injection moulding machines from minimum weight up to 3 tonnes mould weight, with sizes up to 800 x 1400 mm, for prototype, small-batch and large-series production. Offered are non-hardened, plasma-nitrided and through-hardened moulds as well as repair and servicing of existing injection moulds. Design is carried out in the 3D CAD system Cimatron E, CAM programming via Cimatron E and ZW3D; the moulds are manufactured on CNC-controlled machining centres. With a Renishaw Cyclone 3D digitizing machine, objects, moulds or components without existing CAD data are digitized. In addition, the company offers surface technology, including dry ice blasting, abrasive and texture blasting for cleaning, removal of rust and refinement of surfaces.
