Spanabhebende Präzisionswerkzeuge SPPW GmbH is a family-owned company based in Lich (Hesse) that has been developing and distributing high-performance tools for machining since 1963. The product range comprises more than 33,000 precision tools in 14 categories: center drills, NC spotting drills, step drills, twist drills, reamers, countersinks, milling cutters (carbide/VHM, HSS-E/PM, Rapid Line, Mirror-Line), threading tools, thread mills, multifunction and deburring tools as well as modular indexable insert tools. Key focuses include micro tools from Ø 0.05 mm, tools for hard machining up to 68 HRC and solutions for fiber-reinforced plastics (GRP, CFRP, AFRP, honeycomb composites). Carbide/VHM, HSS, HSS-E and HSS-E powder metallurgy are used as cutting materials, supplemented by coatings such as X.Cut, A.Cut, Z.Cut and diamond. The tools are used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical technology, tool and mold making, mechanical and plant engineering as well as precision mechanics. In addition, SPPW manufactures special tools according to customer applications and offers project consulting, cutting data, tool management, training and logistics concepts.
